  • What's the different between the technology cores?
    We know this can get confusing. We've added a special "Learn Our Tech" section on our home page that includes comparisons for our force-sensitive users who prefer reading, visuals, or videos. In addition, on each product page you will find the specifics (and we mean the nitty-gritty specifics) of each core offered for that product.
  • Can I duel with my saber?
    All of our sabers can be used for 'light' dueling; this includes anything with "pixel" in the name and Eco-Baselit sabers are the best for full-contact hard dueling as there are no LEDs inside the pixel blade that can be damaged. Eco-baselit has a high-power super bright LED in the hilt which shines up an empty tube (the blade) making it less expensive to replace the blade. (note: duel at your own risk, Vader’s Sabers is not responsible for any damage or injury you may sustain while dueling)
  • Can I modify/edit/configure/customize my saber after delivery?
    Yes, but you do so at your own risk. This will void the warranty. Vader’s Sabers is not responsible for any damage to your saber after delivery. This includes, but is not limited to, coding, editing your config file, modifying the hilt itself, misuse/improper alignment of the core, damage sustained during play.
  • I didn’t get it weathered when I ordered, can I get it done after the fact?
    Yes, but you are responsible for shipping it back to Vader’s Sabers. We will cover the cost of the return shipping though. Please contact us via our Support page with your order number for pricing if you would like to order custom weathering on a saber you already own.
  • Do you offer custom options (i.e. custom configurations & sound fonts, weathering, leather wraps) for my saber?
    We offer weathering and leather wraps on all sabers (provided it makes sense on the saber). You can find leather wrap options on our Accessories page. We offer sound font/config file customization for a small fee. Please reach out to us via the Support page for specific pricing information. All sound fonts will need to be purchased separately for us to add to your saber.
  • Where can I purchase sound fonts for my saber?
    We recommend KSith and Kyberphonic Fonts among others.
  • What kind of USB charger can I use to charge my saber?
    We recommend only using a 5W (5V X 1A = 5W) charger. A suitable example is the small white USB charger previously provided with iPhones. It's crucial to avoid chargers exceeding 5W as they can damage the board, and such damage is not covered under our warranty. Always verify the specifications of your charger; specs are printed on all chargers. 5W USB chargers can be obtained on Amazon for usually less than $9. Also, if your saber is equipped with a kill-switch, make sure it is set on the ON position before charging. You should hear an audio cue to let you know it’s charging. We also can sell you a replacement 18650 battery if you want to be able to quickly swap batteries.
  • What payment methods does Vader's Sabers accept for online orders
    Vader's Sabers accepts several payment methods for online orders, including credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), PayPal, GooglePay, VenmoCheckout, and Apple Pay. We also offer the option to use Vader's Sabers gift cards as a form of payment for your purchases. You also have the option to pay using Affirm at checkout. All transactions made on our website are processed securely to ensure the safety of your financial information. If you have any questions or concerns about payment methods, please feel free to contact our customer service team for assistance.
  • What is the average response time for customer service?
    We do our absolute best to answer emails quickly within the first 24-48 hours during the business week. In most cases, technical support requests take 24 - 36 hours to get a resolution by either a repair or part replacement process started. We respond to after hours calls or emails the next business day. Our business hours are Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm Eastern. We are closed on most national holidays.
  • My saber won’t hold a charge, what can I do?

  • Saber still doesn't start after charging?
    Remove the battery and check the batter contact plates, to ensure they are making contact. Gently bend them out if they are not making contact, reinsert the battery, and turn on the saber. If there is no response, charge again. (Note: If possible, use an external charger)
  • My saber has no swing, hum, or clash sounds?
    Usually, this is from low battery. Charge the saber for a couple of hours and try again. If you've updated your sound fonts on the microSD, ensure files are set up correctly and that the microSD card is seated properly.
  • My saber just stopped working suddenly, what do I do?
    Remove the battery and check the contact plates. Reinsert the battery, charge the saber, and try again. If there is no response, contact us via the Support page.
  • Saber is hot near the emitter?
    It is normal for the LED in the emitter to generate a small amount of heat, but the emitter should diffuse most of that. As such, please do not turn on the electronics outside of the hilt as the heat may damage the chassis without the aluminum emitter to diffuse the heat.
  • How long will it take for my saber order to be delivered?
    On average, most sabers take about 2 weeks but we always strive to expedite the process. Weathered sabers can take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks.
  • What if I entered my shipping address wrong?
    Contact us through the support page with your order number and the correct address as soon as possible, we may be able to modify your shipping address on your order. If your order has already shipped, then we may have to schedule a redelivery at a later time, this may incur additional fees.
  • I bought a saber, but I changed my mind. Can I cancel my order or exchange it?
    If you are not satisfied with your purchase, contact us so we can fix it. We offer refunds and a one-time exchange to all customers within the first fifteen (15) days of receiving your saber as long as the saber is in the same condition as you received it and there is a valid reason. (note: this does NOT include ordering for a cosplay convention then returning it after the fact) If the saber is damaged or modified in any way we will NOT accept the return and a refund will not be issued. All orders placed are legally binding and subject to 15% fee for order cancellations. Order cancellations are at the sole discretion of Vader's Sabers LLC and only possible (if at all) within the first 24 hours after order placement.
  • What kind of warranty do you offer?
    We offer a six (6) month warranty on manufacturer defects only. We are not responsible for damage during training simulations or dueling for supremacy with your foes. If we do not hear from you regarding your saber within fifteen (15) days of receiving it then we assume all is in working order. Please reach out to us using the contact form above if you have an issue with your saber and we will strive to fix it. If your shipment was damaged on the way to your door via our hyperspace lanes through the Outer Rim or Deep Core, don’t worry... Any saber damaged in transit is our responsibility. Just let us know within seven (7) days of receiving your saber and we will either exchange it or refund your credits if that saber is no longer in stock. ​ If you are having trouble tuning your crystal or your technology core is malfunctioning just let us know within fifteen (15) days of getting your saber and we can make it right. Please email us first before returning your saber, using the contact form above or our email at the bottom of this page. ​ Warning: Frying your xenopixel/proffie board is not covered by our warranty. To prevent frying your board DO NOT use a power source that is over 5V and 1 Amp to charge your saber. Check the specs of your charger and it is always recommended that you use a computers USB port to charge your saber (5V and 0.5 Amp). ​ If you are not satisfied with your saber you can send it back to us via R2D2 transit but if all is working you will be responsible for shipping or a 15% restocking fee (whichever is less) as travel energy is at a premium and so are droids. Vader's Sabers LLC does not cover the international return postage and that the buyer will be responsible for all associated costs. All orders placed are legally binding and subject to 15% fee for order cancellations. Order cancellations are at the sole discretion of Vader's Sabers LLC and only possible (if at all) within the first 24 hours after order placement. ​ We offer no refunds/exchanges on Mystery Box saber packages or custom weathered sabers as these are custom units and it is impossible to replicate its awesomeness a second time.
